The Emerald Tablet was a piece of stone carved with scriptures that human believed to be the fundamental text of alchemical instructions for producing the philosopher's stone and making gold. It was only passed down to a highly skillful apprentice of an alchemist. Most of them buried the tablet and memorized the text so that no one would try to steal it. Today, we only know fragments of it from writers and storytellers, and it goes:

"Truth! Certainty! That in which there is no doubt! That which is above is from that which is below, and that which is below is from that which is above.."
